Digital Mammography
Minimally invasive digital screening
Mammography is a specific type of breast imaging that uses low-dose x-rays to detect cancer early before women experience symptoms and when it is most treatable.
To put your mind at ease and encourage holistic health, we have established a dedicated mammography suite within our clinic which includes state of the art screening technology and private spa-like waiting area.
Senographe Pristina™
Senographe Pristina
At Ultimate Imaging, we continue to advocate for women’s health – leading the charge in providing the best and most advanced technology available.
Senographe Pristina™ a 3D mammography system delivers the most superior diagnostic accuracy for screening or diagnostic mammograms – providing comfort, maneuverability and streamlined precision of result. Designed for women by women.
The system has a range of ergonomic features that are intentionally designed to enable patients to be more comfortable. All parts in contact with the patient’s breasts, for example, have gentle, rounded corners for greater comfort. The system features comfortable armrests that relax the pectoral muscles to simplify positioning, compression and image acquisition.
Traditional mammography systems compress the breast automatically, which can be a source of considerable discomfort. Senographe Pristina™ features a self-compression tool that helps give women a sense of control by allowing them to manually adjust the degree of breast compression. Under the direction of a technologist, the patient can set compression to a level that feels right for them. Taken together, these design features mean that technologists are better able to focus on precise positioning, making exams easier and faster. Poor positioning is the cause of most clinical image deficiencies that often require a rescan.

At Ultimate Imaging we continue to advocate for women’s health, keeping abreast of new innovative technology and information. With the introduction of our Invenia™ ABUS system, women will feel comfortable knowing that we can offer additional screening options for those with dense breast tissue.
Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) – The only FDA-approved breast screening technology specifically developed to increase breast cancer detection for women with dense breast tissue.
Clinically Proven to Increase Cancer Detection by 35.7%; and – approved by the FDA for breast cancer screening as an adjunct to mammography for asymptomatic women with dense breast tissue and no prior interventions.
ALL BREASTS ARE NOT THE SAME – It’s normal!
Did you know – 40% of women have dense breasts.
Some are fatty, some dense & some are a mix.
- Almost entirely fatty
- Scattered fibroglandular densities
*fatty tissue + some dense fibrous tissue + glandular tissue. - Heterogeneously dense
*large areas of dense fibrous tissue & glandular tissue + some fatty tissue - Extremely dense
Project Pink
Ultimate Imaging is dedicated to the continued support of Project Pink
“Project Pink” – was established in 2012 with a dedication to the empowerment of men & women in the on-going fight against Breast Cancer in Bermuda. We continue to be an advocate for women’s health, staying abreast of new innovative technology. Our mandate has, and always will be, to continue to raise awareness for Breast Cancer epidemiology and research. Undertaking clever campaign messaging, Project Pink has succeeded to enact dialogue, connection, provocation and simultaneously motivating the call to action among those in the community.
Each October, Project Pink is involved in a series of awareness-generating activities to emphasize the importance of breast cancer screening in an effort to minimize the number of women and men who are impacted by breast cancer in Bermuda.
